Recipe Brown Sugar Vanilla Sauce for Bread Puddings and Desserts

Ingredients
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp corn syrup Karo
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions
Combine in a saucepan, the brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and cream. Bring to boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Reduce to medium low and let the mixture boil for 5 minutes. Add the vanilla, stir into the mixture and remove from heat. Sauce will thicken as it cools. For a taste variety add 1/4 cup rum, whiskey or brandy to the sauce. Serve over your favorite dessert.
