1.Your Rug:

A good old style Persian Carpet still looks classic, although modern designs and single and double colored patterns are very much in. Go as per your liking. Keep it Classic or Modern, but remember that the carpet has to go with the look of the living room. A Persian carpet will look good accompanied with antique furniture. Similarly modern furniture looks goods with modern design carpets.

2. Chandelier Lighting:

Lighting is an important part of house interiors, so why should the living room be any different? A chandelier in the middle of the living room is apt for providing sufficient light for reading etc. A chandelier can be Classic Crystal design or modern with CFL’s. You have to choose as per your taste and décor of your living room. A chandelier gives an aesthetic appeal to the décor.

3. Keep Track of Time:

Time is important. Install a big clock to keep track of time. A clock can be a wall clock or a standing wooden pendulum clock. Both retro and contemporary add a touch of elegance. Size and placing is also important, as time should be visible from all corners of the living room.

4.Wall Paintings:

The wall paintings in the living room play an important role in elevating the mood of a person. Paintings depicting sorrow and melancholy should be avoided as they bring about a feeling of depression. Cheerful paintings, family photos of happy times, portraits, classic paintings and natural sceneries are perfect for living room walls.
