Supercharger and turbocharger?

Whts the diff between turbocharger and supercharger

Some cars have both of them !!!

Both throw compressed air into the engine chamber. turbocharger uses exhaust gases to run where superchargers use engine power. superchargers have very minimum lag. turbochargers are more economical to run.

some manufactures use both to minimize the turbo lag.

Superchargers is driven by the drive belt and hence the linear supply of compressed air keeps going to the cylinder head. Jida gaddi di RPM jada hundi oda oda supercharger jada jada air bhejda rehnda cylinder ch.

supercharged gaddia have more power than a Naturally aspirated engine.

Turbo charger on the other hand works on the exhaust gases, at certain RPM range the turbo charger starts spinning with exhaust gases and that turbine is connected to the compressor which pushes the air into the cylinder head ( by first going into a intercooler to cool it down). as soon as you lift the foot off your accelerator the turbo kicks off.

as mentioned above turbo and super charger can work together to minimize the lag .

-twin turbo setup has lesser lag than single massive turbo
-VGT variable geometry turbo
- sequential turbo ,ek lower and ek higher end te turbo laya janda and has lesser lag
