To be launched in 2014, along with the next generation C-Class.
C-Class is one of the more important models in Mercedes' line up and before it gets too old and the competition gets stronger, Mercedes wants to launch the next C-Class. Expected to arrive in 2014, the next generation C-Class is currently being tested by Mercedes Benz.
Spotted by AutoExpress, here's are the pictures of the next generation C63 AMG saloon. Mercedes has done a good job of hiding the car. The report by AutoExpress tells that the car will no longer have the naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, instead a 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 will be found in the engine bay of the next C63 AMG. Merc has been using this engine for quite some time now and putting it in the C63 AMG won't be a big gamble, since it makes around 520PS of power, which is more than what the Naturally Aspirated produces in its basic trim. The engine will be mated to the seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The images suggest that the car looks more muscular but as we said above, Merc has done a good job of hiding the car, so not much can be said about it.
BMW too will launch the next generation M3 in 2014. Time for another round of C63 vs M3 then!
