The upcoming Mahindra Verito Vibe has been spied undisguised by the team at Autocar India. It is a sub-four metre hatchback from the Indian SUV major. It is their foray into this segment and will be launched next month.
The car is pretty much the same as the test mules that we have been seeing over the last few months. It has got a two-box design with an angular design at the back that has been complemented by a set of Christmas tree rear light cluster. The report also suggests that despite the odd design of the rear-end, the hatchback has a sizeable boot. The rest of the car is pretty much similar to the standard Verito expected for a slightly revised grille as well as front bumper.

The Indian SUV major has also said that the car will be powered by the same mill that powers its bigger sibling, the Verito. This means the 1.5-litre Renault K9K diesel mill producing 66PS+160Nm of torque. Power for engines will be transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The company has not made any mention of a petrol variant of the car. The interiors are pretty much the same as the bigger Verito expect for a few changes to the upholstery, aircon vents and the stalks.
Mahindra had said in its launch announcement that it decided on the name ‘Vibe’ for the car, with the aim of conveying a distinctive youthful and vibrant imagery. According to the company, the ‘Vibe’ targets the socially aware, young consumer of today.
