Koenigsegg unveils the Trevita CCXR: Very much a ‘shimmering diamond’
Koenigsegg has unveiled a rarity in the form of the Trevita. Based on the CCXR, the Trevita will have the same biofuel capable engine that produces 1018hp, 1060 Nm. The CCXR itself is a rare car to see, and going by the same logic, the Trevita will be difficult to spot at all, with just three units up for production (Trevita is Swedish for “three whites”).
Koenigsegg calls the Trevita a “shimmering diamond” and that phrase is quite literal here, and is also that special change that differentiates the new supercar from the CCXR. The skin of the Trevita is like a diamond, or at least shines like that, like thousands of diamonds! This skin is made in-house by Koenigsegg engineers, and is basically carbon fiber whose fibers have been coated in diamond finish. It’s this finish that shines, or shines through making the car shimmer like a diamond in the sun.
