Iso Rivolta Marella concept: A revival design for Iso Rivolta
The Iso Rivolta Marella concept from designer Fedor Stetskevicha was his diploma project done in collaboration with Zagato. Fedor was offered a choice of two projects, one to create a new body for the Rolls Royce, and the other for a revival concept for Iso Rivolta. Needless to say, the designer chose the latter and created the Marella concept.
The aim was to make the concept realistic, stylish and restrained, without the use of futuristic technology for the concept. To that end, the Iso Rivolta Marella concept borrows the suspension and engine from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 and molds it into the Iso Rivolta design. The concept uses a tubular space frame and has a body made from aluminum. The designer added Italian styling to the American base and finished the final model in fiberglass.
