Hummer has released a new model, H2 SUT 2008 - a modification of the Hummer H2 SUT that was launched five years back and was inspired by the colossal military-derived Hummer H1. The new model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, a driver-selectable locking rear differential and underbody skid plates. As for the interiors, H2 SUT 2008 is loaded with dual-zone automatic climate control, auxiliary rear climate controls, leather upholstery, power front seats with driver memory, heated front and rear seats, a trip computer, remote ignition, OnStar and a Bose stereo system with in-dash six-CD changer, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack.
The interior of the renewed Hummer H2 marks a major improvement over its predecessor. Minute detailing has been taken care of, to add finesse to the overall look. The interiors are fashionable and chic. Front occupants face a redesigned instrument panel, with soft-touch surfaces and a center stack housing new GM audio components. Talking about its designing, H2 SUT 2008 features a power rear window descending into the folding center panel that separates the passenger compartment from the small truck bed.
The new model is powered by a large 6.2-liter V8 engine and promises 393 hp, 68 horsepower more than the former model. With a new six-speed automatic transmission, operated by manual shift control, its overall crawl ratio has also augmented by about 20 percent. The towing capacity of the H2 SUT 2008 has also been improved by 1,500 pounds, to reach a magnanimous 8,000.
