Datsun to use Nissan dealerships in India
Nissan Motor's budget brand will sell vehicles through the group's dealer networks here.
Datsun, all set to enter the Indian auto market next year, has said that it will sell its products directly through Nissan Motor India.
The Go hatchback will be the first model to enter showrooms while other products are lined up for launch after.
Vincent Cobee, global head of Datsun, said, “Selling the Datsun GO and future Datsun models through Nissan Motor represents a natural evolution of the company’s operations in India, which are well recognised in the market. We are excited about launching the iconic Datsun brand in India and look forward to bringing a growing range of bespoke, locally-produced products and high level services to our customers.”
The move will allow the new brand to take advantage of an already established and expansive retail network.
