Despite the fact that GM has decided to cut loose and wind down the Pontiac brand, the Trans Am will live on thanks to ASC Creative Services.

ASC is an automotive design and development company founded in 1965. The company initially started out manufacturing aftermarket sunroof systems and installing OEM sunroofs for various manufacturers. In 1970 ASC Creative Services was created, this branch of ASC undertakes design and development work for a large number of automotive manufacturers all over the world.

The ASC Trans Am is based on the 5th Generation Chevrolet Camaro and features a comprehensive front and rear end redesign and headlight/taillight conversion. The styling of ASC's Trans Am appears to have been influenced by the second generation Trans Am. Modifications include a prominent split-frame grille, new headlights mounted into individual nacelles, a shaker hood, new side skirts, wheel arch extensions, larger lateral intakes just forward of the rear wheels, revised taillight panel and new rear lip spoiler.

Overall the styling of the ASC Trans Am is extremely effective, the influences are clear and concise and the fact it appears to be a relatively simple bolt-on conversion makes the ASC Trans Am all the more appealing.

Currently the ASC Trans Am is still in development. Before the end of 2009 the first prototype/show car should be fully completed. Production for the kit is scheduled for 2011.
