Al & Ed’s Autosound gives Tesla Roadster a new ‘green’ sound system, refreshed cabin

Al & Ed’s Autosound in West Hollywood thought that the Tesla Roadster didn’t quite have the radio system to go along with its zero emission power packed ride. So, they gave the $100,000 roadster a $8000 system to bring some light to the not-so-lovely cabin of the oh-so-lovely roadster. Each panel gets Focal 6.5-inch component and tweeter speakers, then there’s a 10-inch subwoofer, and an Alpine PDX 600-watt amplifier.

That system isn’t going to put a strain on the Roadster’s batteries either, its 12-volt recyclable battery with 100-watt inverter is going to keep it powered for 10 hours, and will take a few hours to recharge from a standard outlet. The system also doesn’t markedly affect the performance of the car.
Another addition has been the bespoke interior that makes the dullness of the stock Tesla interiors vanish. The $7000 bespoke interior is “Mercedes-Benz grade” with custom contrasting stitching and a lot of plush leather.
