Xolo has launched its new smartphone, the Xolo X500. It is the first dual-SIM phone powered by an Intel processor. The Xolo X500 runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by Intel's 1.2GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor with Hyper Threading technology, which allows multiple processes to run simultaneously.

The Xolo X500 is equipped with a 400MHz GPU and 512MB of RAM, which allows for full 1080p HD video encoding and playback. As per the press release, it comes with an optimised HTML 5 browser for a smoother and faster browsing experience. It is powered by a 1500 mAh battery.

The Xolo X500 is the first Intel-based smartphone to also be dual SIM

According to the press release, the benefits of a 1.2GHz processor with Hyper Threading technology include faster UI responsiveness, fast application launches, smoother performance, the ability to run multiple apps without the device slowing down and a lower battery consumption rate.

Here are some of the highlights of the Xolo X500:
3.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels
3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi
GPS
Bluetooth
