At the its pre-E3 press conference, Microsoft has finally unveiled the pricing information for its next-gen console—the Xbox One. The console is set to hit store shelves in November and will initially be sold in 21 markets. The console is priced at $499 (approximately Rs 29,016) in the US, 499 EUR (Rs 38,284) in Europe and 429 GBP (roughly 38,804) in the UK. Curiously, the console costs in Europe are considerably higher than in the US. This is probably bad news for us in India, since much of our pricing is derived from the European prices.
Some of the other stuff announced for the console include a new Halo game, a new Forza game, Titanfall and Dead Rising 3.

The console uses many of the voice commands that were earlier introduced as part of the Kinect. There are quite a few new ones however. For example, saying "Xbox On," will start the console and bring you to your personalised home screen. The console itself has many new features. You can navigate and watch live TV from your cable, telco or satellite set-top box through the Xbox One. This feature however seems to be US centric. We have no idea if it will work on Indian set-top boxes.
