What is it?

The One X is the flagship device in the One Series of smartphones that was recently launched by HTC.

What's so special about it?

The HTC One X is built on the principle of "Amazing Camera. Authentic Sound". HTC has actually jumped off the megapixel bandwagon and has brought in other improvements to its camera including a faster lens, lower aperture (for better performance in lower light), HDR capabilities and more. On the sound side, the device features Beats Audio in all music applications, so regardless of where your music is coming from, it'll feature an extra oomph.

What else can it do?

Everything. Well, with a 1.5GHz Quad Core processor, it can do just about anything. You need that processing power for the 4.7 inch 720p HD screen and if that isn't enough, you can always swipe your content to your TV and watch it there with the optional Media Link accessory. It features an 1,800 mAh battery to keep the phone running all day.

The phone features deep Dropbox integration with 25 GB of space which means you can store movies, pictures, music, documents and more on the cloud. Speaking of cloud, this phone feels unusually light.

Finally the phone is meant to be sturdy — the body undergoes a procedure called Micro Arc Oxidation that not only gives it the smooth ceramic look and feel but also makes it five times stronger.

When is it available and for how much?

The HTC One X will be available later this month at all leading electronic outlets for Dh2,499.
