The Chrome Web Store & Other Chrome Updates





After the long wait of an year and a half Google announced the release of Chrome OS along with the launch of Chrome Web store.

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at net books and the key aspects of Google Chrome OS are Speed, simplicity and security.

Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips and Google is working with multiple OEMs to bring a number of net books to market next year.
Speed was the very focus from the beginning and so for the latest update of Google Chrome, adding instant search in the OmniBox, JavaScript and PDF-viewing speed, and incredible GPU hardware acceleration for amazing in-browser graphic possibilities.

Google also demoed a few web games which are pretty simple as they make use of high-definition graphics and work as well as their desktop counterparts and one of the game was Poppit which is a balloon popping puzzle game, which will be embedded in Chrome 9.

The Google Chrome web gallery consists of multiple apps including blogging to shopping, from communication to Lifestyle to Productivity, more to come soon in the coming days.
