Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo With 4400mAh Battery Launched

Tata Docomo on Tuesday launched the Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo dongle with 4400mAh battery for portability, and also functions as a power bank for charging electronic devices. It features a microSD card slot to support up to 32GB storage. Priced at Rs. 2,899, the device will be only available at brand stores in Delhi and Mumbai for now.
The Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo device allows up to five devices to connect to the Internet. The inbuilt microSD card slot can be used in both solo and sharing mode, the latter enabling sharing of the microSD data across Wi-Fi devices connected with the device. The company is also touting the backup feature for the microSD card.

The Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo offers download speeds of up to 9.8Mbps and upload speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. It measures 76.4x67.2x23.0mm.

Commenting on the launch, Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head Marketing - Mobility, Tata Docomo said, "The new Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo packs a unified connectivity experience. Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo provides high speed Wifi internet connectivity on go and content sharing capabilities, serving up a hassle-free experience for our customers. Postpaid customers can enjoy smooth video speeds and expect data-hungry applications to run effortlessly between multiple users. The powerful battery back-up also allows users to fully charge their smartphones while continuing to surf."

Last month, the telecom company Tata Docomo in partnership with the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) started providing Wi-Fi service at Connaught Place, New Delhi.

The first 20 minutes of the service is free of cost and after that recharge options varies, starting from Rs. 10 for 30 minutes, Rs. 20 for 60 minutes and Rs. 50 for 180 minutes.​
