Samsung launches flip phone with dual touchscreens

South Korean manufacturer Samsung has gone for a mix of the old and new with its latest smartphone, the Galaxy W789. It features the old-school flip phone design with dual touchscreens and has been launched in China by the company.

The all-new Galaxy W789 has two 3.3-inch TFT touchscreens with 480x320p resolution. The company has placed hardware keys like Back, Options and Home in the alphanumeric keypad for the inner display, while the other one has three buttons at below the screen. It is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and runs on 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Samsung's new phone has a 1,500mAh battery and comes with a 5MP camera. Connectivity options in this dual-sim smartphone include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0.

While there have been several touchscreen phones with Qwerty keyboards, the new Samsung W789 is the only such handset with an alphanumeric keypad.
