Earlier this month Core Games’ Danny Bilson said parent-publisher THQ has a big announcement to make in March. But it looks as though that announcement has been leaked early in the form of some images.
The announcement is exactly what gamers were expecting: Saints Row 3 is in development and will be arriving this year.
Confirmation of a 2011 release came in the form of the following promotional image which may also end up being the box art. Printed at the bottom are the words, “Strap it on. Holiday 2011″.
That same image also confirms the game will be called Saints Row: The Third. Further images show character Johnny Gat (above) and a new version of Stillwater city:
With the game arriving before the end of 2011, and an official announcement expected next month, it’s not going to be long before promotional video starts appearing for the game too.
