Pc stopped recognizing usb devices help!!!

Sooooo 2 days ago my computer, which is running windows XP, stopped recognizing any external usb devices. Such as: ipods, external hard drives, thumb drives......

is there any way i can fix this ?????? :pr:pr:pr

i've attached a picture of the pop up message that comes up.

please note: i have never had a problem like this before :wo

YOOOOO i fixed it yeaaaaaaHHHH!!!!!!

ummm so heres what i did:
1) shut off computer
2)unplug all usb devices except keyboard and mouse
3)behind ur desktop unplug its power cord
4) leave everything alone for 30 mins
5)plug in cord
6)start computer
7)plug in usb devices
8)it should work, it did for me :D

if not try again or there might be another problem

okay if you get that again it means your powersupply isnt enough for the pc
it hapens to me as well. i got front usb and the inbuilt rear ones on the motherboard.. easy fix is .. use the ones at the back and it should work fine.

if youve studied physics the current decreases with the length of wire
