Panasonic Toughbooks hit India

Panasonic has launched their range of Toughbook laptops in India, the CF-S9, CF-F9, CF-C1, CF-19, CF-31,with Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ processor. The fully-ruggedized CF-19 and CF-31, run on Windows® 7 Professional, with a faster and more secure remote connection capability and a Windows XP downgrade option.
The Toughbooks are armed with Turbo Boost Technology and shock mounted flex connect hard drive.

This is how 'tough' these laptops are -

The Toughbooks have water-protected keyboards and touchpads, and can withstand up to 0.2 litres of water. With a specially designed drainage system, the water is routed away from the computer.
They can withstand drops from heights of up to 76cms (switched on, on to under side of notebook) or 30cm (switched off) from 26 different angles.
The Toughbooks includes a full three-year limited warranty, parts and labor, providing coverage wherever they are deployed.
They can resist pressure load of up to 100 kg. The fully-ruggedized models are said to have the lowest failure rate in the industry, and have garnered appreciation from first responders, military personnel and field workers in industries such as telecommunications, utilities and energy.
