Nvidia has launched the newest GPU in its new 700-series line-up—the GeForce GTX 760. The GPU is set to go on sale today and will cost Rs 19,499. The GPU is essentially a replacement for the previous generation GTX 660, which was available for the same price. Like all of Nvidia’s new crop of GPUs, the GTX 760 is powered by Nvidia’s Kepler architecture.

The GPU boasts 2.3 gigaflops of processing power, making it dramatically faster than the GTX 660. It comes with a host of Nvidia’s own features, including GPU Boost 2.0, which automatically increases the clock speed for better performance. It also has temperature target and fan controls, as well as over-voltage headroom and optimisations for more advanced water-cooling systems.

The GTX 760 is going to replace the GTX 660

The GTX 760 supports all of Nvidia’s technology, including the PhysX physics engine and the TXAA anti-aliasing technology. It also works with the GeForce Experience software, which lets you automatically keep a track of driver updates. The software also has support for Nvidia ShadowPlay and optimal playable settings for your rig. The GPU has support for multi-GPU SLI setups as well.

The GTX 760 GPU is available with card suppliers including Asus, Galaxy and Zotac. The Rs 19,499 price tag is set to be the entry point for the GPU, with more advanced versions being more expensive.
