Microsoft Brand Store Launched in India

Microsoft has officially opened up a store for selling its range of hardware and software products online in India via e-commerce website Amazon.
The Microsoft Brand Store on Amazon.in product categories varies from Windows, Windows Phone, Laptops & Tablets, Office, Accessories to Xbox. Till date, the company was selling these devices through its dealers network channel, except software like Windows, Office, Visual Studio and more, which were sold online.

In a statement, Microsoft said, "Consumers buying Microsoft products at the Microsoft Brand Store on Amazon.in would enjoy a number of benefits, including exclusive products across various Microsoft product categories. Consumers will also have access to unique bundles available only at the Microsoft Brand Store." Microsoft's Amazon store page notes that consumers will get "all the best offers from Microsoft in one place."

Microsoft announced that limited period offers currently available include the Xbox One Assassin's Creed Kinect Bundle with three free games (Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Dance Central Spotlight) and an additional Wireless Controller free. Also available is the Xbox One Standalone bundle with FIFA 15, with a limited period discount of Rs. 5,000, and an additional Wireless Controller free.

Notably with the launch of the Microsoft Brand Store on Amazon.in, the company has also brought the Xbox One Media Remote officially to India, priced at Rs. 1,899. The product will be in stock on December 18.

The company is also selling its latest Microsoft Lumia 535 (First Impressions) smartphone on this store, though there no deal on it and the price is the same as launch price of Rs. 9,199. The smartphone already available in the country, since November 28, via retail stores.

One of the highlight features of the Lumia 535 is the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is reminiscent of the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735. Other specifications of the Microsoft Lumia 535 include a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution; a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz alongside 1GB of RAM; 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; 8GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB), and Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update. The smartphone also gets 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage along with it.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 (Review | Images) is also being offered on a discount on the store, priced at Rs. 14,999 - a price cut of Rs. 9,000 from its launch price of Rs. 23,999.​
