If you want to take that new-fangled “3D vision” that all the young whippersnappers are raving about these days out on the road with you, Korean electronics maker LG had just introduced its very first 3D notebook, the Xnote R590
The 15.6-inch notebook boasts an Intel Core i7 processor and graphics powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GT335M GPU. As for the 3D, it’s provided by TriDef software that converts 2D video to 3D in real-time, and LG has chosen to go with polarized 3D glasses to reduce the weight and eye fatigue of active shutter glasses. Ultimately, that means the colors of the 3D will be slightly more muted, but your eyeballs won’t have to deal with rapidly oscillating shutters.
Otherwise, the LG Xnote R590 boasts SRS Tru-Surround HD, an optional Blu-Ray drive, ethernet, 802.11n WiFi and the usual gaggle of ports. The price hasn’t been mentioned yet, but you should be available to buy LG’s killer 3D notebook sometime soon.
And here I am, typing this all in plain old 2D like some kind of sucker.
