Lenovo LePad tablet gets worldwide release in June

Back in January we reported that Lenovo was planning to launch the LePad tablet, but at the time there were no confirmed plans to release it anywhere other than China.
However, we did manage to uncover evidence that Lenovo would set a worldwide release date onceHoneycomb has been confirmed. This seems to have been the case as Lenovo is now planning to release the tablet worldwide in June.
We do not have specific countries yet (apart from China, which gets the tablet in March), but we would assume the U.S. and all European countries will get it when it finally ships.
In terms of spec, we originally reported that the LePad will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (running at 1.3 GHz), a multi-touch 10.1-inch screen with a 1280800 resolution, and Android 2.2 (though we suspect this will change to Honeycomb before it gets released).
You will also be able to purchase an optional IdeaPad U1 base which converts the tablet into a notebook. It also adds a more powerful Intel processor and Windows 7 takes over as the OS on the device.
Price is still not confirmed so we can only assume it will stay around the $520 and $1,300 when combined with the IdeaPad U1 base.
