Lenovo’s a favorite brand for PC laptops, and they’ve really done a great job transitioning their design expertise from notebooks to netbooks with the Lenovo S10 and S12. They’ve now announced their latest update to the already lovely S10, the S10-3S, and guess what? The “S” stands for slim. Well, the second one does… I don’t know what the first one means.
Unlike the S10-3 that Lenovo introduced at CES, the S10-3S has slimmed things down from a thickness of one inch to just 0.6 inches thick. Additionally, the S10-3S is light: it only weighs 2.4 pounds, which is a proper poundage for a 10-inch netbook you’re meant to sling around with you in your purse.
Otherwise, we’re looking at a pretty stock netbook, albeit one crafted with care. TThe Lenovo S10-3S will be available with your choice of Intel Atom N450 / 470 CPUs, ship with a gig of RAM and offer users a choice between 160, 250 and 320GB hard drives. It’ll cost $379 when it’s released later this month.
