HTC seems to be working on a new high-end Smartphone that will run Windows Phone 7 Mango and will soon hit the stores on Verizon Wireless. The phone which is dubbed as the HTC Omega is supposed to have a Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor.

The HTC Omega is also rumored to possess GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio, and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. In addition to that, the phone is also supposed to have an HDMI port to allow the users to connect to their HDTVs.

Other specifications for the Smartphone include: 3.8in LCD touchscreen which has a 800 x 480 pixel resolution; an 8MP camera with an LED flash and also auto focus; 16GB internal storage; and, 512MB RAM.

The strange thing about the specifications of this high-end Smartphone is that it doesn’t have an SD card slot and it also lacks the front-facing camera, which are commonly regarded as the standard requirements for any Smartphone. However, the Smartphone is so far only a rumor and the company is currently not willing to comment on it.

As stated, there are no details at the moment about the cost and the release of the phone.
