Google to bring improved ads to their Gmail webmail platform

Gmail has been known for being a webmail service that has non-intrusive advertising.
Google has been making changes that are being annoying with ads appearing in the middle of email conversations.
The company has now revealed that they are working on bringing betters ads to Gmail.
Google said that the ads currently are based on the content in the email being read. They are going to improve upon that.

The advertising delivery system would learn from your actions in your Inbox. It would show ads related to topics that are popular in emails you get. It would ignore ads related to topics from emails that you mark as spam and so on.
The basic idea is to not show ads for the sake of it. But to show ads that are useful for you.
The company further said:
We’ve already cut down the number of ads shown per Gmail user by more than a third, and we hope these signals will enable us to continue to show fewer, better ads in Gmail.
