Samsung like all the other OEM’s always set up their own range of special apps in their flagship phone, most notably the Samsung Galaxy “S” series. Take as example, the set of apps that Samsung introduced during the launch of SGS4, like Quick Glance, Air Jump, Air Move, Air Call-Accept and more. The best part behind it is that most of the apps are ported officially or unofficially in the form of other apps.

And luckily we got an another port from the SGS4, this time being the Hovering controls. Basically this is an awesome app which helps you to control and operate your device without even touching it. But the drawback being that the app is exclusively available for all the Samsung devices.

The App is named ” Hovering Controls ” with the good thing being that it is available for devices running Android 2.2 and above. It is not currently hosted in Play store but you can download via the XDA link provided at the end of the post. Some of the features include being able to open an app with a hand gesture, play/pause/skip while listening to music, mute an alarm or ringing phone and more. Tapping Menu -> Test Sensors brings the option to test those hand slides.

The app launches the main screen which provides options like to start and stop the application as well as to turn on Hover Hold, Target Mode, Carousel Mode and the Slide Twice options. With that it also has an widget option to turn on and off the app.

The app is in the early stage of development so we can hope for coming for updates to the app and being available to more and more devices.
