Fujitsu quietly rolls out LifeBook TH700 Tablet/Laptop

If youíre in two minds about whether to buy a tablet or a laptop then Fujitsu may have you covered. The company has just released the LifeBook TH700 Tablet with a multitouch 12.1″ display. But itís mounted on a bi-directional hinge with a keyboard sitting underneath allowing a choice between laptop and tablet in one device.
Hereís the main spec of the machine:
  • Intel 2.26GHz Core i3-350M with 3MB cache
  • 12.1″ WXGA LED backlit capacitive multitouch display
  • 4GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM
  • 320GB SATA 150 5,400rpm hard drive
  • Intel HD graphics solution
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • DVD-burner,webcam, 802.11b/g/n wireless, HDMI, Gigabit ethernet
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • 6-cell 5200mAh battery (5 hours)

The multitouch display is setup for fingers, but also accepts pen input. The cost of the TH700 is $1,149, but that reduces to $1,099 with a $50 mail-in rebate. First shipments are expected July 5.
