Chrome 27 for iOS

Chrome 27 for iOS features better voice search, faster page reloads

Chrome 27 has finally arrived on the Apple App Store, only a couple of weeks after it was released for desktop and Android devices.

Better voice search capabilities undoubtedly, take the front seat in the list of improvements on the updated version. With better voice search on Chrome 27, iOS users can now ask all they want and get answers, without typing. Also, iOS users can make use of quicker voice recognition with text streamed on the fly. They can get answers spoken back to them, complete with web results relevant to their queries.

In addition to improved voice search, Chrome 27 for iOS users also boasts of faster page reloading. Simply put, pages will now reload faster, even if the network is slow or unavailable. Stability, security improvements and bug fixes feature in this new version too. Chrome 27 is up for grabs on the App Store.

To be able to use Chrome 27 on your iOS devices, you will require devices running iOS 5.0 and above. Chrome 27 for iOS is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It is optimised for iPhone 5, too.

Last month, when Google announced the stable channel release of Chrome 27, we wrote about a whole bunch of goodies that were doled out. But the highlight was the 5 percent speed boost. On its Chrome Releases blog, Google said that on Chrome 27 web pages loaded 5 percent faster on average.

In addition to that, there's a new API that allows saving and syncing content to Google Drive. Ranking of predictions, spell correction and Omnibox predictions have been doled out improvements too.
