As everyone watches the iPad launch getting ever closer, other manufacturers are starting to show their hand in the e-reader market. Asus is taking more of a Kindle than iPad approach with the official unveiling of the DR-900 e-reader.
Asus chose CeBIT show this week to show the 9″ DR-900, which looks to be a basic e-reading device with touchscreen. Here’s the specs we know so far:
- 9″ 1024 x 768 Sipix touchscreen display
- 10,000 pages on a single charge
- WiFi and 3G option
- 4GB internal memory
- PDF, TXT, MP3, and ePUB support
The official press release has yet to appear, and pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
