Apple has released iOS 9 beta 4 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch for registered developers. The latest release comes with major additions, such as Home Sharing for Music, redesigned battery icon and so on.

iOS 9

First up, the Notifications icon in the Settings app used to be gray in the previous beta but is now changed to red. The update adds the ability to share your personal music library with other devices enrolled in Apple’s Home Sharing feature. Both Home Sharing for Music and Genius Mixes were removed in iOS 8.4. Other features include iPod Touch support, volume buttons now work as camera shutter, updated icons for iPhone, Apple Watch on Battery widget.

The Handoff feature in the App Switcher that was previously displayed in the app carousel has been moved to the bottom of the app-switching interface. Pull up on the new Handoff bar to open an app. The Albums now display larger art and there is the addition of heart and radio options when sharing Apple Music content.

The latest beta 4 release comes almost two weeks after beta 3 was seeded to developers with feature such as Apple’s News app, support for Apple Music and Beats 1, and other changes. If you are already running iOS 9 beta 3, you can update directly using Apple’s over-the-air (OTA) update system from iOS: Settings -> General -> Software Update
