AMtek is betting big on tablets, and AMtek has just announced five new tablets they’ll be bringing to Computex next month, ranging from simple tablets boasting an 800MHz Freescale chip to an NVIDIA Tegra 2 powerhouse.
Their lowest end tablet is the AMtek iTablet Ex-Lite II, a 10.1-inch multitouch device with an 800MHz Freescale CPU, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of flash storage, as well as WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth, a 2MP camera and optional 3G and GPS, and comes in Windows CE^, Android 2.0 or Linux flavors.
Similar is the AMtek iTablet Speed-Lite, which ups the RAM to 1GB and the CPU to an NVIDIA 1GHz Tegra 2.
Then there’s three Intel-based tablets. The AMtek iTabletPC Lite, the T23A CULV Tablet PC and the T23X CULV Tablet PC all come with Windows 7 and up to 4GB of RAM. The iTablet Lite comes with a 10.1-inch multitouch display, a 2MP camera, a 64GB SSD and an Atom 1.6GHz CPU, while the T23A and T23X come with a 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, Cantiga GS graphics, 12.1-inch display, a 320GB hard drive and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
No word yet on price or availability, but doubtless AMTek intends on pricing these at Computex next month.
