Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 registrations in India cross 350,000 in just 24 hours

Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Redmi Note 3 in India yesterday, and the smartphone is set to go on sale on March 9 via mi.com and Amazon India. Registrations for the first sale had opened shortly after the launch. Now, Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar Jain has revealed that the number of registrations for the smartphone has crossed 350,000 in just 24 hours.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 3 in three color variants — gold, dark grey and white. Only the gold variant will be available for sale via mi.com, while Amazon India will be selling all the three color variants. There is also a difference of Re 1 in the prices listed on Xiaomi’s website and Amazon India. The Redmi Note 3 16GB variant is priced at Rs 9,999, while the 32GB variant is priced at Rs 11,999.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 specifications and features: The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 processor. The 16GB variant features 2GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery, while the 32GB variant comes with 3GB of RAM and a slightly bigger 4,050mAh battery. Both batteries come with Quick Charge support.

The Redmi Note 3 also features a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, a fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. On the software front, it runs on MIUI 7.
