Xiaomi Announces Mi 4s in China

Ahead of the Mi 5 launch, Xiaomi’s today announced the Mi 4s in Beijing, China. The Mi 4s is the successor to the Mi 4i with its great design, and decent under the hood specification.

The Mi 4s comes with cool looking glass panels on the front and back with a metal frame in the middle holding the glass panels together. The front of the phone is dominated by a 5-inch Full HD(1920×1080) resolution display.

Under the hood, the Mi 4s comes packing a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. On the back is a 13 megapixel camera with PDAF and two-tone LED flash. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the phone for users looking for added security. Powering the phone will be a 3260mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support.

The phone comes with support for 4G+ with VoLTE and USB Type-C. It comes running a MIUI 7 on top of Android out of the box. It is powered by a 3260mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support.

The 64GB model is priced at 1699 Chinese Yuan (Approx Rs 18,000). It will be available in black, white, gold, and pink.

Xiaomi on Wednesday unveiled the new Mi 4S smartphone at an event in Beijing, China. The Xiaomi Mi 4S will go on sale in homeland China starting March 1 and has been priced at CNY 1699 (approximately Rs. 18,000). It will be available in Black, Gold, Purple, and White colours.

The Xiaomi Mi 4S packs fingerprint scanner at the back panel and runs MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It features a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display and offers a pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 paired with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The handset packs 64GB inbuilt storage and supports dual-SIM. One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is it supports microSD card expansion which gives it an advantage over Xiaomi Mi 4, Xiaomi Mi 4i, and Xiaomi Mi 4c.

The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. There is a 5-megapixel front camera on board as well. The Xiaomi Mi 4S also packs infrared sensor.

The Mi 4S supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, and packs USB Type-C. The handset is backed by a 3260mAh non-removable battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

The company says that the Xiaomi Mi 4S is an update to the Mi 4. It sports front and rear glass panels, apart from a metal build. The biggest addition touted by the company is the fingerprint scanner. The smartphone supports dual-4G LTE standby with VoLTE support.
