WickedLeak has announced the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Wammy Passion Z+ that was launched earlier this year. Google rolled out the KitKat update for the Nexus smartphones and tablets, and their Google Play Edition devices recently. Google-owned Motorola rolled out the Android 4.4 update for the Moto X and Moto G. WickedLeak becomes the first Indian company to roll out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its smartphone.

WickedLeak would release the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Wammy Passion Z+ on January 14th 2014 for the users who already own the device. The company would sell the Passion Z+ smartphone running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box starting from today. The Wammy Passion Z+ has a 5 inch Full HD display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor and has a 13-megapixel camera. The new update will also bring improvements in the stability and the performance of the smartphone. It should almost be stock without any UI overlays.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the version is Android 4.4, and the build date is October 26th. This might not be the final version when it releases next month. Updated for the recently launched Wickedleak Wammy Titan 3 is expected sometime in early 2014. Other Indian companies should provide latest Kitkat update, at least for their flagship devices, since most of these devices are still on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), even though these devices have OTA option.
