The Sidekick brand is still alive, reportedly, T-Mobile and Samsung announced a new Android phone, the Sidekick 4G.
This handset is providing HSPA+ (data transfer rate up to 21 Mbps) and brings unique messaging and entertainment features.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is a made in a sliding 3.5-inch touchscreen display (resolution of unknown size) via pop-tilt hinge, which is located under the five-row QWERTY keyboard.
The heart of T-Mobile Samsung Sidekick 4G smartphone is a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo).
New Sidekick 4G smartphone packs two cameras (3MP rear-facing camera and 0.3MP front-facing), and pre-loaded with applications for online services such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter.
It has also Group Text and Cloud Text, which is enabling users to send messages to cross-platform (PC or Sidekick 4G).
Sidekick 4G will be available later this spring in matte black and pearl magenta.
