Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini & Mini Pro

Sony Ericsson has announced the XPERIA mini and the mini pro.

Sony Ericsson is also proud to tout the Xperia Mini as being the smallest smartphone in the world that is capable of recording video in 720p HD resolution.

The latest Xperia Mini will be powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, sporting a 3′ multitouch, scratch-resistant display, accompanied by Sony’s proprietary Bravia Engine with Reality Display.
There’s also quadband GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA, WiFi, AGPS, Bluetooth, an FM radio and a 3.5mm headphones socket. On the back is a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, face-detection and an LED flash.

A bigger, 1200mAh battery than the last-gen mini adds up to 30-percent longer runtimes.
Apart from that, there is a 1GHz processor within, not to mention being able to access the Android Market and the ability to customize your home screen with custom shortcuts that are available in the four corners of the screen.
These phones come in a whole batch of different outer casing colorings, the XPERIA mini coming out with white, black, blue, or dark pink.

The XPERIA mini pro, on the other hand, will be released as white, black, pink or turquoise. Both of these devices will be out in August of 2011, and the only place we know either of them will be carried thus far is Vodafone UK, and that’s just the mini pro – but surely they’ll be coming to the USA as well, right?
