Sony Ericsson announced their new Sony Cybershot S006, a camera packing some incredible resolution. That would be the good news. The bad news, however, is that it’s only going to be available in Japan exclusive to KDDI.
The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 cellphone is sports a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor Exmor R with autofocus and ISO settings up to ISO 12800.
It is packed with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs Qualcomm Brew platform. Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 is a globally phone, which is supports GSM and CDMA networks. It is having a 3.3-inch TFT display with resolution of 480 x 854 pixel (FWVGA), FM tuner, a 1Seg TV tuner, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Infrared port, 700MB of internal memory, and MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory card slot (up to 16GB).
Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 is made out of slider form factor. Dimensions of Cyber-shot S006 are 115 x 52 x 17 mm. The cellphone is enclosed in waterproof housing and available in gold, black, and pink color options.
Well there is no news till now about the pricing and availability of the camera phone but do not expect it to be cheap or don’t even expect it to be available in the US pretty soon.
