Seals VR7 Rugged Mobile Phone

UK’s Seals Technology just recently came out with an all-weather rugged phone with integrated GPS. It is called Seals VR7 and is IP-67 rated which means it is dust tight, and can withstand water immersion up to 1 meter depth and 2 meter drops on concrete and is able to work in environment from -20C to +55C.

The VR7 has a 2-inch color display, 2 Megapixel waterproof camera, 1GB internal storage, FM raio, Bluetooth 2.0 and support for tri0band GMS/GPRS/EDGE networks. The phone also supports GPS navigation with its built-in GPS chip. It has USB 2.0 port and stereo headphone jack.

The really fascinating highlight with Seals VR7 is that it has a special optical signal for help function that can send GPS coordinates to a group of five other handsets if you’re in danger. It can even send Morse code!!!
The Seals VR7 phone is available in two color, black and yellow and measures 123.5×57.5×25.4mm, weights 166.
