Oppo has announced an upgraded version of Oppo R5, the new handset is called the Oppo R5s. R5s is powered by snapdragon 615 64 bit octa core chipset and the handset is 4.85mm thick. This smartphone is priced at EUR 199 (listed on a European website).
The Oppo R5s as mentioned is powered by 1.5GHz 64 bit MSM8939 Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. This handset sails on Colour OS 2.0 that is based on Android KitKat version 4.4.x.
There is 3GB of RAM (LPDDR3) and 32GB of internal storage space. Weight with battery is 155 grams but the handset is very slim with a 4.85mm thickness. A 13MP auto focus camera using the SONY IMX214 BSI sensor is packed on the rear with LED flash support. There is a front camera too with a 83 degree wide angle lens for better selfies. Front camera is of 5MP resolution (f/2.0).
The Oppo R5s comes with a 5.2 inch AMOLED screen with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resolution. Key features are 4G LTE (FDD/TD), 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi and GPS.
The R5s houses a 2000 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities using VOOC mini Rapid Charger. It will be available soon (most likely from 25th August) for EUR 199.
