Nokia 207, 208 S40 phones with 3G connectivity are official

Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia has added three new devices to its existing portfolio of 3G capable phones. Nokia 207, Nokia 208, and Nokia 208 Dual SIM sport a candybar design and are capable of surfing the net at HSPA speeds. The S40 phones come pre-installed with popular social apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp, in addition to imaging and productivity features like Internet-sharing and Mail for Exchange.

The Nokia 207 is a single SIM device and does not feature a camera. In contrast, the Nokia 208 has a 1.3MP camera and includes features like voice-guided self-portrait, sequential shot and panorama mode. Both feature a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The connectivity options on the phones include Bluetooth 3.0 with Slam sharing, microUSB, 3.5mm AV connector, and AHJ headphone support. The Dual SIM variant of the Nokia 208 features the company’s Easy Swap technology that lets users to change SIM cards without turning off their phone.

The phones are capable of HSPA



The 1020mAh battery promises up to 33 days of standby time for the Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 and up to 20 days of standby time for the Nokia 208 Dual SIM. Nokia 207, 208, and 208 Dual SIM handsets will be available in red, cyan, white, and black colours. While Nokia has not stated the exact price, it states that the estimated retail price for the Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 is $68 (approx Rs 4,000). These handsets are expected to start shipping during third quarter of 2013.​
