Motorola has started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Snapdragon 615-powered Moto X Play smartphone in India that adds VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) support for Reliance Jio users. The latest Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones have the VoLTE feature built-in.
After the update you need to enable the enhanced 4G LTE mode to get VoLTE that will offer improved voice call quality. You also get the VOLTE symbol next to LTE on the top.
The Moto X Play received Android 6.0.1 update back in March earlier this year, couple of months after rolling out the Android 6.0 update.
The Moto X Play VoLTE update v24.61.70 is about 19MB in size, also includes the Android security update for May, 2016 and some stability improvements. If you don’t have the update, you can flash the update zip manually from XDA here.
