Motorola at it New Delhi event on Tuesday has launched the fourth generation Moto G smartphone in India in two variants, as expected, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. Motorola has not revealed the Moto G4 price in India, or its availability details. The Moto G4 Plus on the other hand has been priced at Rs. 13,499 for its 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant, and Rs. 14,999 for its 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. It will be exclusively available from Amazon from Wednesday (Tuesday midnight) in Black and White colour variants.
The company said pricing of the Motorola Moto G4 will be provided closer to launch. The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are nearly identical in terms of specifications, however, there are slight differences.
The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based Motorola Moto G4 Plus is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM cards) smartphone that features a fingerprint sensor on the home button, making it the first Motorola device to offer the biometric authentication system. It bears a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) SoC coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and a choice of either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.
The Moto G4 Plus bears a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and laser autofocus, apart from a dual-LED colour-balancing flash. It sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an 84-degree wide field of view and f/2.2. As we mentioned, it will be sold in two inbuilt storage options (16GB and 32GB) that are expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The smartphone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. The Moto G4 Plus weighs in at 155 grams, and measures 153x76.6x9.8mm, with its thinnest point being 7.9mm thick. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 24 hours of mixed usage battery life. A TurboCharger is bundled with the Moto G4 Plus, and is said to provide 6 hours worth of charge in 15 minutes. Sensors on board include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
The Moto G4 sports the same specifications as the Moto G4 Plus, but features a 13-megapixel rear camera (with an f/2.2 aperture) instead of a 16-megapixel offering, and ditches the laser autofocus.It has no fingerprint sensor, and only comes in 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. Notably, both smartphones support 4G on one SIM card slot, and 3G on the other.
The Lenovo-owned company is also touting the 'dual-SIM with intelligent calling' functionality on both smartphones that allows users to assign contacts to a SIM card, enabling them to switch between two call plans for business and home, for example.
Alongside, Motorola also announced its M4DE programme for smartphone accessories, which certifies them to work with Motorola products.

मोटो जी4 और मोटो जी4 प्लस के ज्यादातर स्पेसिफिकेशन एक जैसे हैं। फर्क कैमरा और फिंगरप्रिंट सेंसर का है। मोटो जी4 का प्राइमरी कैमरा 13 मेगापिक्सल का है और जी4 प्लस का 16 मेगापिक्सल का। इसके अलावा मोटो जी 4 प्लस का कैमरा लेज़र ऑटोफोकस फ़ीचर से भी लैस है। मोटो जी4 प्लस में फिंगरप्रिंट सेंसर भी है। गौर करने वाली बात है कि यह फिंगरप्रिंट स्कैनर से लैस मोटोरोला का पहला स्मार्टफोन है।
मोटो जी4 और जी4 प्लस में 5.5 इंच के फुल-एचडी (1920 X 1080 पिक्सल) टीएफटी डिस्प्ले हैं। एंड्रॉयड 6.0.1 मार्शमैलो पर चलने वाले इन हैंडसेट में कॉर्निंग गोरिल्ला ग्लास 3 की प्रोटेक्शन भी दी गई है। यह 1.5 गीगाहर्ट्ज़ ऑक्टा-कोर क्वालकॉम स्नैपड्रैगन 617 से लैस हैं और ग्राफिक्स के लिए एड्रेनो 550 जीपीयू इंटिग्रेटेड है। मोटो जी4 प्लस के ग्राहकों के पास स्टोरेज और रैम चुनने का विकल्प मौजूद रहेगा। 16 जीबी इनबिल्ट स्टोरेज वाला वेरिएंट 2 जीबी रैम के साथ आता है और 32 जीबी स्टोरेज वाले वेरिएंट में 3 जीबी रैम है। इन 4जी स्मार्टफोन की इनबिल्ट स्टोरेज को 128 जीबी तक के माइक्रोएसडी कार्ड से बढ़ाया जा सकता है। वहीं, मोटो जी4 में 2 जीबी रैम होगा और इसकी इनबिल्ट स्टोरेज 16 जीबी।
अब बात कैमरा सेटअप की। मोटो जी4 प्लस रियर कैमरा 16 मेगापिक्सल का है जो लेज़र फोकस, पीडीएएफ और कॉन्ट्रास्ट सिस्टम फ़ीचर से लैस है। रियर हिस्से में डुअल एलईडी फ्लैश भी मौजूद है। सेल्फी के दीवानों के लिए हैंडसेट में 5 मेगापिक्सल का फ्रंट कैमरा दिया गया है। मोटो जी4 का प्राइमरी सेंसर 13 मेगापिक्सल का है। मोटो जी4 और जी4 प्लस को पावर देने का काम करेगी 3000 एमएएच की बैटरी। यह क्विक चार्ज़िंग को सपोर्ट करती है। ग्राहकों को हैंडसेट के साथ एक टर्बो चार्ज़र भी मिलेगा। बैटरी के बारे में आम इस्तेमाल पर एक दिन तक चल जाने का दावा किया गया है।
डाइमेंशन 153X76.6X7.9 मिलीमीटर है और वज़न 155 ग्राम। कनेक्टिविटी की बात करें तो ये हैंडसेट माइक्रोयूएसबी, 3.5 एमएम हेडसेट जैक, ब्लूटूथ 4.1 एलई, वाई-फाई 802.11 ए/बी/जी/एन, जीपीएस, ए-जीपीएस और ग्लोनास से लैस हैं। इन फोन में एक्सेलेरोमीटर, एंबियंट लाइट सेंसर और प्रॉक्सिमिटी सेंसर दिए गए हैं। यह ब्लैक और व्हाइट कलर वेरिएंट में उपलब्ध होंगे।
