Micromax is yet to officially launch Canvas 4 in market but the flagship smartphone is already being showcased by some retail stores. It’s quite understandable all are trying to cash in the rumors. Horrible specs are given by the stores. ARM Cortex A7 can be clocked till 1.7 GHz. But in a store it’s written that the CPU cores are clocked at 2.0 GHz in Canvas 4. MediaTek MT6589T Turbo has 1.5 GHz Cortex A7 CPU. This is the maximum CPU speed at which Cortex A7 is currently available. Either it’s 1.2 GHz original MTK6589 that is present in Canvas HD or it’s MTK6589 Turbo that is coming in several Chinese brands in their flagship models. However, you can expect 2 GB RAM without too many thoughts.
There will be certain changes in camera module. It will sport a 13 MP back camera with new interface and better lens, bigger sensor and aperture. Front facing 3.2 MP camera is also expected to be there. Internal memory mentioned is either 8/16 GB. But the existence of micro SD card slot is pretty certain.
Will it sport a 5 inch display or 5.5 inch? Rumor mill suggests it can have any of these two display sizes. I guess 5 inch sounds more appropriate and resolution will be 1920×1080 pixels. May be Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating will be there on top of display surface.
