The Nokia Lumia 625 has finally made an appearance on another online retailer. The smartphone is now available for pre-order in India on Flipkart. And the listing comes with a price tag of Rs 19,499. The smartphone was earlier seen on Snapdeal, where users can shell out a booking amount of Rs 1000, with the balance being charged after the phone is released.

The retailer has estimated that the release date of the Lumia 625 will be in the fifth week of August. The Finnish smartphone manufacturer unveiled the device last month after a horde of rumours, leaks and speculations. On top of the specifications sheet is a 4.7-inch super-sensitive LCD display sporting a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, the company’s largest to date. According to Nokia, the display can be viewed in direct sunlight and sports super-sensitive touch technology for users who may find themselves with thick gloves or excessively long nails. Internally, the smartphone comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM under the hood.

Thrown in is the latest version of Windows Phone 8 as well as the Nokia Lumia Amber update. The phone comes with Live Tiles, which will update directly to the homescreen, and an updated People Hub feature. Other features like Xbox Live, Microsoft Office and 7GB of online SkyDrive storage are also available. Photography is taken care of with a 5 megapixel primary camera with auto focus and LED flash as well as a VGA front shooter. The Lumia 625 also comes with 8GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot that can support up to 64GB of storage space. Rounding up the offering are five brightly coloured changeable shells.

Nokia Lumia 625 now available for pre-order on Flipkart

Apart from the price, Flipkart has also included some promotional offers for every pre-booking order of the smartphone. This includes 11 free ebook downloads from the Flipkart store. The site says that users can download these up to three months after the date of purchase. Also thrown in is a Nokia music subscription, valid for 6 months, as well as a Nokia movies subscription, valid for three months. Indian users will be happy to know that a free 3G data plan is also included for three months, or a 2G data plan for six months. This is only applicable for Tata Docomo users, though.

Nokia has not been resting ideal. With the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 recently making headlines, the Lumia 625 is the latest chapter in the Finnish phone manufacturer’s continuing tryst with the Lumia series. The Lumia 925 was earlier seen popping up on the company’s official website. The site still has the Lumia 625 tagged as "coming soon", although all evidence points to this changing soon.
