LG Triptych Concept – A Tablet Cum Phone

The rage of ergonomic gadgets will surely be passe, especially with the whole flurry of concept phones coming in. “Triptych,” the concept phone for LG, appreciably commands the purpose of a two-in-one device.

The most interesting feature of this device would be the fact that it can be transformed in a small tablet PC, which would make it fit for more than just usual phone usage.

Designed by Pratt Institute student, Edward Hale, the LG Triptych isn’t the first concept phone we’ve seen transform into tablet.
The handset would sport a foldable design, with two auxiliary touchscreen displays included into the mix in addition to the main screen.

Now, this not only provides a bigger and immaculate display, but also eventually gels well to the idea of providing a larger reading, typing space along with a larger playback zone.
Like all concept phones, the Triptych isn’t a real LG prototype, but only an artist’s creativity gone wild. That’s not to say these concepts won’t lead to anything real in the future.
With all those flexible AMOLED screens floating around, one of them is bound to make it into a working product sooner or later.
