Earlier this month the developers of HootSuite announced it was relaunching its iPhone and Android apps, allowing all users to download and install the apps for free. Now HootSuite is following up with the launch of a BlackBerry version of its software.
Like the other mobile apps from HootSuite, the BlackBerry app lets users keep up with their Facebook and Twitter contacts by reading and posting updates. HootSuite for BlackBerry supports BlackBerry OS 4.21 through 6.0, and works on devices with or without touchscreen displays.
The app supports background notifications and lets you schedule future status updates. You can shorten URLs, store and share photos and other files, and create custom views for tags and searches.
Like the other mobile apps, the BlackBerry version is available as a free download — although you can pay a monthly fee for a Pro account which lets you track advanced stats, add additional social network accounts, and access other premium features.
