Google has released Spotlight Stories 360-degree movies app for iPhone. This was originally developed by Motorola Mobility’s Advanced Technology And Products (ATAP) and was first introduced with Motorola Moto X as Spotlight Player back in 2013. It was released for Android in May. It has 360-degree movies created by critically-acclaimed filmmakers that offer 3D and 2D animation, full-sphere surround sound, and uses phone’s sensor fusion techniques.

You can use the phone to look anywhere and follow individual characters to experience the stories. It currently has four movies, Duet from Glen Keane, Buggy Night from ATAP, Help by Justin Lin and Windy Days by ex-Pixar movie makers. The app also has in-app purchases and the movie Help is free for a limited time.
