Canon, one of the world leading camera manufacturer has now brought forth new Windows Mobile HandyTerminal called the Canon PRea AT-100 and Canon PRea AT-100P. The device is to be priced at 188,000 yen (about $2315) which is only the body price, and for the models equipped with laser scanner and mobile phone shall be around 228,000 yen (excluding tax). The price is to vary according to the chosen configuration features and operating system, and for the combination of different modules.
The Canon PRea AT-100 is support GSM and 3G UMTS/HSDPA (Data + Voice). Both models comes with the same basic hardware with an OMAP3505 CPU @ 600MHz, 256MB of DDR-SDRAM and 256MB of Flash Disk, a microSD slot, a 3.5” QVGA screen, IrDA 1.2 SIR, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi ABG and a rugged body capable to sustain a 1.5m fall on hard concrete and IP54 compliant (Protected against dust limited ingress and Protection against water sprayed from all directions – limited ingress permitted).
Available in two different flavors with Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional (AT-100P) and Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 (AT-100).
